K Rd Stories Launch

Producer

An innovative screening trail organised to showcase the 10 NZ On Air funded short films produced celebrating the notorious Karangahape Road in Auckland. Each film premiered in a different, unique location on the street, which encouraged the public to find their own path - popping in to laundromats, basements, and shop windows created a fun and engaging event that garnered rave reviews from the hundreds of attendees.

48 Hours - Furious Filmmaking

City Manager

The competition that birthed Taika Waititi’s career - NZ's largest annual guerrilla filmmaking event! One weekend to make a short film: writing, shooting, editing and adding a musical soundtrack, must occur within the 48-hour window beginning Friday evening at 7pm and ending Sunday at 7pm. 48Hours is a serious challenge for both first-time filmmakers through to experienced directors.

Over 10,000 people enter annually (every gear rental house in the country is cleared out!), which requires a dynamic and organised team to run the competition. The event includes pre-production, the shoot weekend, regional screenings (heats), and a Grand Final.
